Lot 2209 Tibet, 1913 (15 May) registered "Wilson" envelope to England (6.6) bearing KGV 3p., ½a., 1a. and 2a., cancelled by "Gyantse-Tibet/Siliguri Base" c.d.s., with matching registered framed h.s. and printed "R 105" registration label handstamped "Yatung-Tibet/F.P.O. No. 70" in violet alongside, fine.

Lot 2210 Offices in Tibet, 1911 surcharged on Waterlow issue 3a. on 16c. olive-green, horizontal pair with interpane margin at right, left stamp variety large inverted "S" in "Annas", rich colour, fine to very fine and fresh unused with part to large part original gum (somewhat patchy), hinge remainder. Lot 2212 Offices in Tibet, 1911 (29 Nov.) envelope to Phagri bearing ½a. on 2c. pair and 4a. on 20c., cancelled by "Yatung-Tibet" double-ring d.s. (type C3), and showing "Phagri" undated circular h.s. (type C2) on front and reverse, small piece of scotch tape at right just affecting c.d.s. but not stamp, fine. Chan T2, T7.

Lot 2213 P Tibet, 1912 die proof by Waterlow & Sons of 1/3t. in deep ultramarine on thin wove paper (68-75 x 76-81mm.), die sinkage shows at sides, extremely fine and indicative of the high standard and sophistication of the Waterlow engravers. An exquisite piece of artwork.

Lot 2216 Tibet, 1909-56(c.), an unused and used assembly of stamps (33), envelopes (13), and postcards (3), including 1909 envelope from Bailey correspondence bearing India 1a. cancelled by "Yatung-Tibet/via Siliguri" c.d.s., Chinese P.O. in Tibet 1911 surcharges (30) to 12a. on 50c. unused (3) and used on piece, 1912 issue complete set cancelled by "Lhasa P.O." circular intaglio h.s. on envelope (flap at back missing), 1/6t. green (3) similarly cancelled in blue on envelope to Gyantse, and Mount Everest Expedition local (3) used in combination with India adhesives on separate 1924 special postcards (3) to England, mainly fine (49 items).

Lot 2217 Tibet, 1924-56(c.) envelopes (4), comprising 1924 (3 Sept.) picture postcards (2, both of the Mount Everest Expedition) to the Netherlands, the first bearing Mount Everest local (a few foxed perfs.) cancelled by "Mount Everest Expedition/Rongbuk Glacier Base Camp/1924" double-ring d.s. in red and mailed from Darjeeling with ½a. and 1a., cancelled by c.d.s. and the second bearing ½a. and 1a., uncancelled but showing "A246" framed arrival d.s.; 1931 (9 Apr.) envelope from Kathmandu to Pharijong (15.4) bearing on reverse India KGV 1a., cancelled by "Nepal" c.d.s., in combination with 1912 ½t. marginal single cancelled by Pharijong small double-ring h.s. (type X); and registered domestic envelope bearing 1933-56 ½t. yellow-orange from the top left corner of the sheet and 4t. pale green pin perf., cancelled by "Lhasa" double-ring h.s. (type VIII). Mainly fine despite a few faults.
