K.G.V 10c. insured "AR" registered stationery envelope, compensation in francs with dollar compensation added in second printing (no dots following dollar values), size G, to the Chinese Legation, Berlin, Germany (12-13.3), bearing on reverse K.G.V 10c., 25c. and $1, cancelled by "Registered/G.P.O. Hong Kong" c.d.s., with "Yokohama à Marseille No. 9/* (above and below date)" octagonal d.s. (4.2) adjacent, and pink insured label and "AR" in oval h.s. (Proud AR4) on front, fine and very rare. This registration envelope type was not recorded by Webb or Schoenfeld, is unrecorded used by Scamp nor is this size recorded by Scamp or Yang.

Lot 3260 Hong Kong, Postal Stationery Registered Envelopes : 1924 (24 May) K.G.V 10c. insured registered stationery envelope, compensation in francs with dollar compensation added in second printing (no dots following dollar values, but in a lighter type than the preceding lot indicating a second printing), size G, to the Chinese Legation, Berlin, Germany (4.7), bearing on reverse K.G.V 10c. (trimmed slightly at side on opening), 25c. and $1, cancelled by "Registered/G.P.O. Hong Kong" c.d.s., with "Yokohama à Marseille No. 8/* (above and below date)" octagonal d.s. (25.5) adjacent, and pink insured label on front, a second example of this very rare envelope, nicely complementing the preceding one with its lighter added text.
