Lot 1205 China (People's Republic), 1967 "Long Live Invincible Chairman Mao's Thoughts" (W1) set of 11, comprising Chairman Mao 8f. corner block of four showing sheet number, and red frame and gold frame stamps in blocks of twenty (each comprising four se-tenant strips of five) from the top of the sheet showing imprint and sheet number, unfolded (except the red frame block folded along central horizontal row of perfs. between stamps), unmounted mint, fresh with vivid colours on bright white paper and brilliant gold on the gold frame block, few trivial bends, gold frame block corner fault at upper left and tiny tear in top margin, line-like light vertical surface disturbance in right two stamps resulting in slight tarnish in the gold and tiny red offset on back of one, red strip with split central horizontal perfs. in left margin only, a very fine set of large multiples of this difficult issue.
