Lot 3267 China, 1901-03, a fascinating study of the "Peking" bilingual oval d.s. with its many different types and dimensions, comprising envelopes (4) and cards (18, one registered), each cancelled with "Peking" bilingual oval h.s., showing a variety of types and dimensions of the handstamp in black or violet, three items of domestic usage, the rest were sent overseas via French P.O. in Shanghai to Austria (2), Belgium (2), France (1), Germany (8), Italy (5), and U.S.A. (1), of which seven cards or envelopes are in combination with French P.O. stamps. A comprehensive study of the "Peking" oval handstamp and an ideal basis for further study or exhibition (22).
