Lot 3180 China: Yunnan, 1903 (30 May) red-band envelope to France (28.7) redirected internally bearing on reverse C.I.P. 10c., cancelled by "Yunnanfu" lunar c.d.s. (29th year, 5th month, 4th day, date inserted by hand) with another strike on front, showing on reverse similar "Xiakwan" lunar c.d.s. (10.6) and "Tengyueh" oval bilingual d.s. (17.6) in violet, in combination with British India ½a. and 1a. vertical pair cancelled by "Bhamo" c.d.s. (30.6), small portion of front of envelope slightly faulty due to the discolouring effects of gum staining around the stamps, very fine and exceptional cover from Yunnan carried on the Burma route.
